Long Beach, CA

The four story beach house, on the bay side of the Long Beach peninsula, was originally designed and built as a large family summer home. It was extensively reconfigured and remodeled to support the lifestyle of the couple who now live in the home throughout the year. The first floor houses a four car garage on the street side and a flexible rumpus room/boat storage/guest area facing the beach side with direct access to the sand. The second floor includes the living, kitchen, dining and wine room arranged in an open plan with unobstructed views to the water, designed to support the occupants frequent entertaining. Two bedrooms and a master suite are located on the third floor. The fourth floor “crow’s nest” has an office and adjacent roof deck. The exterior has new white smooth stucco, cable guardrails and ipe wood decks.
